This is the start of a collection of images that I came across while sorting through my archive. I found these black and white images I had taken of my hometown and surrounding areas. They were taken as snapshots at the beginning of the first lockdown, a time where I was forced to stay in my hometown for the longest period of time since moving to university 3 years ago and it made me fall in love with the landscape of my home in a brand new way. The spring and summer sun created an almost childlike nostalgia and calmness that I hadn't felt in a long time. These were taken on walks and with the intention of never becoming a body of work. These soft grainy images give an accurate representation of how I feel about these places and are an ode to the places I love.
